How to Reach Hotel Saint This September

London Tube Strikes

Your Journey to Hotel Saint This September

London is preparing for a series of transport changes in early September, including temporary closures across parts of the Underground and Docklands Light Railway. While this may sound daunting, reaching Hotel Saint can still be smooth and stress-free. We’ve gathered the key information and the best alternatives so your journey is as effortless as possible.

Key Dates to Note

Industrial action is expected between Friday 5 September and Friday 12 September. Different groups of staff are involved on different days, which means disruption will vary:

  • Friday 5 September (evening) – Saturday 6 September (evening): Limited services from certain depots.

  • Sunday 7 September – Thursday 11 September: Wider Underground closures, with most Tube lines affected.

  • Friday 12 September: Services gradually return to normal from late morning onwards.

What Will Be Affected

  • London Underground: Most lines, including Central, Northern, Piccadilly, and Jubilee, will not run during the main strike days.

  • Docklands Light Railway (DLR): Expected to be closed on Tuesday 9 September and Thursday 11 September.

What Will Still Be Running

  • Elizabeth Line: A reliable option to travel through central London. Trains may be busier than usual, so allow a little extra time.

  • London Overground: Running across much of the city, with some shared stations affected.

  • London Buses and Trams: Operating throughout, though likely to be busier.

  • Walking & Cycling: A practical way to move around central London. Santander Cycles are widely available.

  • Taxis, Ride-shares & River Services: Black cabs, Uber, and Uber Boat services along the Thames will all continue to operate.

From the Airports

  • Heathrow: Instead of the Piccadilly Line, take the Elizabeth Line or Heathrow Express to central London.

  • Gatwick, Luton & Stansted: Train services into the city should still operate, but please check before you travel. National Express coaches and private transfers are also reliable alternatives.

Our Recommendation

For the smoothest journey to Hotel Saint:

  • Use the Elizabeth Line where possible.

  • Consider Overground, buses, or walking for shorter central routes.

  • Keep a taxi, ride-share, or river boat in mind as a comfortable backup.

  • Allow extra time and check live updates with the TfL Journey Planner.
